The Municipality of Jesolo spans from the mouth of the Sile river (west) to that of the Piave River (east). It unwinds along a coastline of about 12 kilometres, facing both the Adriatic Sea and the Lagoon of Venice.
It encompasses the towns of Jesolo and Lido di Jesolo, as well as the countryside, where every summer they welcome thousands of guests eager to spend their holidays by the sea. Many are also the day visitors in the warm season, who take advantage of weekends to spend pleasant day trips to the beach.
But besides its justly famous beach, the territory of Jesolo municipality unfolds many other reasons for a visit, especially for those who want to discover the romantic area between land and water, the Lagoon of Venice. By bicycle or on foot you can follow the naturalistic paths that cross the lagoon, where you can discover unspoilt nature, visit the old fishing ponds and do a lot of highly rewarding bird-watching.
To be discovered are also the trails that meander in the inland, between the Great Reclamation sluice gates, built in the 1930s.
